Magic Island

Went for a stroll at Ala Moana Beach Park the other week.  There were brief moments of beautiful light.  It was sporadic...much to my dismay.  Bumped into colleague and friend Marco Garcia.  Nice times chatting about life, work, and just stuff in general.

307 Final

I spent the night at the lab printing everything.  I then spent the next day sleeping through critiques.  Well worth the final effort i crammed into it.  I was very proud of the work i put out.

PhotoBuddies

Chase and Austin are two of the coolest cats i know.  This past semester Chase Olivieri came down to Hawaii for school.  Just so you know, He's on heckuva photog, and one heckuva paddle boarder.  The last image was taken by Austin.

Days at the Lab

I spent much of my days this past Spring Semester at the PhotoLab.  Processing, Printing, Scanning.  Film Rocks.  Thanks to Austin, Chris, Amy, Robyn and everyone else for making it fun.  Film forever!

Pool

Spent some time under the wing of AF1 last year.  Spent god knows how many hours on a short bus with 10+ other people.  Oh yeah. Met the President too.  Mahalo to Larry Downing, Jewel Samad, Alex Brandon, Ben Finkenbinder for making it a fun time.

Ladies of the Lab

Well...only three of them.  I shared a shift with LeAnn, worked after Aya and Sandra.  They are a bunch of characters!

But is it art?

One day I was walking to campus from where I park (at the Atherton YMCA) and I had my cameras dangling at my side...Both of them.  I pulled, as Joe McNally put it, the "Plaxico Burress."

The “Plaxico Burress Default Mechanism”–This is a locking device that initiates whenever you have it slung over your shoulder, dangling at your hip. It prevents the camera from accidentally shooting your leg. (Good thing Burress didn’t shoot himself in the ass, he’d have brain damage on top of everything else.)

I must've fired off five or six frames while heading to class.  I got to class, thumbed through the images and came accross this one.  Whoa. It looked neat.  A cool mistake. But, is it art?

Lazy Days at Kaka'ako

A very lazy day at Kakaako.  People enjoying Hawaii's serene beauty.  Take it all in. One day...it might not be here.  Really...lucky we live hawaii.  Aloha!

Volleyball

As fall approaches, i start to think about Sports again.  Women's Volleyball is always fun to cover.  While I was waiting for a game to start i saw this happening.  Assembly line go! go! go!
